Trauma Emergency

This award-winning training program teaches first responders to identify trauma and initiate fast and appropriate pre-hospital care. Rescuers responding to a multiple injury automobile accident demonstrate primary assessment, including the ABCs of basic life support; and secondary assessment, a quick, careful head-to-toe check of the patient. Additional sequences include treatment of open chest wounds, burns, and shock. Emphasis is placed on the importance of communication with medical control and hospital emergency personnel. 28 minutes.
